The web site is well done. It is easy to find the information required. You have integrated many beautiful pictures.
Enticing information for vacation planning. White Lake residents should be proud!

Have had a cottage on the lake for some 20 years... can only access it by boat. Used the ice on and off dates to gauge when I might be able to access the cottage. I am sure a lot of others looked forward to seeing freeze/thaw dates.

I was amaze at this site, didn't realize that White Lake had such a nice site. This is great for people coming from outside. We have a place at Bayview Lodge and I thought I would look at this site, it is very well done indeed.
I hope you keep it up to date.

Glenalee Trailer Park as told by Lori Bandy, White Lake: The Later Years

My name is Glen Bandy, and I was raised as a teenager on the Bellamy Rd. I Married Mary McMillan from Glasgow, and we lived on the Bellamy Rd. for our first few years of marriage.

In 1969 we bought some property on White Lake from Doug Langford, and we built a cottage to give us a change of scenery from the farm life. On the farm we had 40 milking cows and some beef cattle that we raised.

In 1976 we purchased 52 acres of land next to our cottage along the lake.

With a lot of clearing of trees and burning of brush, and with Tommy Jones from the village doing all the bulldozing work, it was beginning to take the shape of a trailer park.

We decided on the name by using my name and our daughter Lori's middle name, Lee. It became the Glenalee Trailer Park.

While bringing fill in from Johnny Hanson's pit, we came across some whalebones and now they are in a museum in Ottawa.

There were some ideas to have a mobile home park on the other side because some of the campers would go south for the winter months and come back to the park for the summer.

We have a total of 58 lots for mobile homes and 156 sites in the summer park.
